The role involves driving modernisation, standardisation, and rationalisation of platforms, embedding best practices and non-functional requirements by design, and influencing enterprise-wide architecture decisions. You will also play a pivotal role in governance, vendor strategy, and mentoring architects, ensuring the organisation is equipped with robust, future-ready architecture to support expanding trading capabilities.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
Extensive enterprise architecture experience in complex environments, with deep expertise in energy trading, risk management, and ETRM platforms (trading, risk, scheduling, pricing, settlements, and market operations);
Strong understanding of energy markets, trading lifecycles, risk and regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply emerging technologies to evolving business and operating models;
Proven leadership of large-scale transformation programmes, including platform modernisation, application rationalisation, architecture governance, and roadmap development across solution, domain, and enterprise architecture;
Expertise in modern technology ecosystems, including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, APIs, microservices, event-driven and high-availability architectures, open data, SOA, and predictive analytics.
