Junior to Middle Business Analyst

We are a Data Engineering team building and maintaining data platform, enabling reliable data ingestion, transformation, storage, and access for analytics, reporting, machine learning, and business applications. We work across modern cloud technologies, data pipelines, integrations, and platform services to ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure data solutions.
You will be the bridge between business stakeholders and the engineering team, owning requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle. You will analyse business needs, data flows, source systems, and integrations, translating them into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, and documentation.
Working closely with Data Engineers, you will perform system analysis, define data mappings and transformation logic, validate requirements using SQL, manage the team backlog, and ensure solutions meet both business and technical objectives. You will translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Architects, QA Engineers, and other technical teams to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation.
• Analyse existing business processes, data flows, and system integrations to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Write and validate SQL queries to analyse data, investigate issues, verify requirements, and support solution design.
• Work closely with Data Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle to clarify requirements and ensure successful implementation.
• Participate in solution discussions, technical design sessions.

Requirements

Must have

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong system analysis skills with the ability to understand complex technical solutions and integrations.
• Basic SQL skills for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, BPMN/UML diagrams, and functional documentation.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Upper-Intermediate (B2+) English.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Data Engineering, Data Platform, Data Warehouse, or Analytics teams.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and modern data architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Sports Betting, Gaming, or iGaming domain experience.
