Position Overview:
As a Junior QA Analyst, you will play a vital role within Modigent’s Horizons Program — our enterprise-wide ERP transformation initiative. Reporting to the Integrations Manager, you will be trained and mentored to help ensure the quality, stability, and seamless performance of our primary software stack: Sage Intacct, Procore, and BuildOps. This role focuses on protecting system reliability, mitigating risks, and upholding technical standards. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure our connected platforms deliver a flawless user experience and robust data integrity as Modigent scales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Translate Acceptance Criteria into detailed test cases and automated scripts (where
applicable) before development work is completed.
● Build comprehensive test coverage plans that map directly to business requirements.
● Provide the engineering and integration teams with clear, actionable reproduction steps and explicit impact levels.
● Execute thorough testing cycles across our primary stack (Sage Intacct, Procore, BuildOps).
● Ensure new code, updates, or configuration changes do not negatively impact existing system functionality or downstream integrations.
● Support Business Analysts (BAs) and core Business Users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
● Ensure proper workflows and business processes are strictly followed for all new feature functionality.
● Act as a vital check in our deployment pipeline.
● Provide final "Sign-off" on features, confirming that the final technical output matches the defined Acceptance Criteria perfectly.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None (junior individual contributor role focused on execution, collaborative testing, and learning under the guidance of the Integrations Manager and senior team members).
Requirements/Qualifications:
● Experience: 0-2 years of exposure to software testing concepts, quality assurance practices, or internship experience in a technical environment.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience or technical certifications considered.
● Physical Demands: Remote-based role requiring standard home office mobility and prolonged screen time.
● Work Environment/Safety: Professional remote home office setting; adherence to
corporate remote work and internet security standards.
Required Skills:
● Fundamental understanding of manual testing concepts, bug tracking tools, and an eagerness to learn how software testing integrates into the development lifecycle.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical bugs and collaborate effectively with both developers and business users.
● An analytical mindset with a natural curiosity for troubleshooting, breaking down complex workflows, and finding hidden edge cases.
● A proactive learner who is excited to pick up new enterprise platforms (Sage Intacct, Procore, BuildOps), workflows, and modern testing tools in a fast-paced environment.
