Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Junior Developer/Programmer to join our team. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and improving software applications and systems that support business operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, a solid understanding of programming principles, and the ability to translate business and technical requirements into efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, developers, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality software and resolve system-related issues.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, programs, and system integrations.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects, system issues, and performance problems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand user needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain databases, APIs, integrations, and other supporting components as required.
  • Conduct unit testing and support system and user acceptance testing.
  • Review existing applications and identify opportunities to improve functionality, performance, security, and scalability.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, development processes, and user guides.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and assistance for internally developed applications and systems.
  • Stay current with relevant programming languages, technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

What's Needed for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Programmer, Software Developer, Application Developer, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, PHP, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with databases and SQL, including the ability to design, query, and maintain relational databases.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working with APIs, web services, and system integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of software testing, debugging, and version control tools such as Git.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with web development frameworks and modern application architectures.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience working with healthcare, finance, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus but not required.

Service Fee:

Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.

Hours:

US Eastern Standard Time (EST) – 9am to 6pm
