GMG Management Consulting, Inc. is seeking qualified Junior Grants Management Analysts to support a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Grants Management Support Services contract. This position will primarily provide surge support for federal grants administration activities, with a significant emphasis on grant closeout functions, post-award administration, and recipient support. The position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work with an experienced team supporting one of the nation's premier federal transportation agencies.

The Junior Grants Management Analyst will assist government staff with the administration of federal grants and cooperative agreements throughout the grant lifecycle. Under the guidance of the Program Manager and Senior Grants Management Analysts, the analyst will perform technical and administrative grants management functions in accordance with 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Guide to Financial Assistance, FHWA policies, and other applicable federal regulations. The successful candidate will support grant recipients and FHWA staff by reviewing grant documentation, maintaining grant files, preparing reports, assisting with compliance reviews, and ensuring grant actions are processed accurately and timely.

A primary responsibility of this position will be supporting grant closeout activities. The analyst will assist with reviewing financial and performance reports, verifying completion of award requirements, reconciling grant records, coordinating with recipients to obtain outstanding documentation, preparing closeout packages, documenting grant files, and ensuring grants are closed in accordance with federal regulations and agency procedures. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with award modifications, monitoring activities, budget reviews, recipient communications, and technical assistance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pre-award, post-award, and grant closeout activities.
  • Reviewing grant documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance.
  • Assisting with grant file maintenance and records management.
  • Performing budget and financial reviews under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Assisting with recipient monitoring and compliance activities.
  • Preparing grant closeout documentation and reconciling grant records.
  • Providing technical assistance to grant recipients regarding grants management requirements.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and management summaries.
  • Supporting data entry and document management in grants management systems.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation using SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other agency systems.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting federal grants management, acquisition, or federal financial assistance programs.
  • Knowledge of the federal grants lifecycle, including pre-award, post-award, and grant closeout activities.
  • Working knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) and federal grants management principles.
  • Experience reviewing grant documentation, maintaining grant files, and supporting compliance activities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Lists.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) is desirable.
  • Experience using GrantSolutions, ESC PRISM, or other federal grants management systems is preferred.
