Junior Bookkeeper

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and numerically strong Junior Bookkeeper to support our finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and capture supplier invoices, receipts, and payments accurately
• Reconcile bank statements and petty cash on a regular basis
• Maintain accurate records of debtors and creditors
• Assist with VAT preparation and reconciliation
• Process expense claims and ensure supporting documentation is in order
• Support the senior bookkeeper with month-end procedures
• Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system

Qualifications and Experience

• 1+ year of bookkeeping experience or recent relevant qualification
• Proficiency in Xero, Sage, or Pastel accounting software
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of VAT, debtors, creditors, and bank reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Eager to learn and develop within a remote finance environment
• Reliable and self-motivated with good time management
• Diploma or certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting required

Salary: R18,000/month | 100% Remote
