[Job - 30348] Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), Brazil

At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Analyst Senior to join our team in Brasil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovative, transforming, and multicultural environment.

Position Overview:

As a Quality Analyst Senior, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software solutions. You will lead the design and implementation of comprehensive testing strategies, focusing on automated end-to-end flows and REST APIs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our products not only meet but exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities: What you'll do

• Translate product stories and acceptance criteria into layered test strategies, including unit, API-contract, integration, E2E, and exploratory testing.
• Design, execute, and maintain automated E2E flows for a modern React/Vite web app using Playwright (TypeScript).
• Cover REST APIs (Python/FastAPI backends) with contract tests and behavior tests using pytest and HTTP clients (Postman/Bruno, httpx).
• Verify constraint-based and optimization behavior through scenario-based tests, ensuring rigorous testing of feasibility and resource-fit rules.
• Validate multi-tenant isolation, RBAC, and OIDC/OAuth2 flows to ensure tenant data integrity and security.
• Build and maintain a lightweight exploratory/session-based practice to catch edge cases that scripted tests may miss.
• Run root cause analysis on production/staging defects, driving fixes with clear reproducibility notes and evidence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must-have Skills:

• Strong grasp of the testing pyramid and hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing.
• Expertise in test automation for modern web apps (Playwright preferred or Cypress).
• Proficiency in REST API testing with contract-first tooling, able to design tests from an OpenAPI spec.
• Strong SQL/PostgreSQL skills for writing non-trivial queries and validating data.
• Comfort with modern issue trackers, GitHub, and CI/CD workflows.
• Advanced English proficiency.

You'll stand out if you have:

• Experience in testing constraint/optimization systems.
• Proficiency in Python and pytest.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS testing and accessibility testing to WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Experience in performance/load testing and event-driven/async workflow testing.
