Junior Java Spring Boot & Microservices Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Java Developer with 1–3 years of hands-on experience developing backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, good problem-solving skills, and experience working in an Agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  

• Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices.
  

• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  

• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
  

• Participate in requirement analysis, design discussions, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  

• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
  

• Develop unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
  

• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
  

• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
  

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and follow established coding and security standards.
  

Requirements

Required Technical Skills

• 1–3 years of relevant software development experience.
  

• Strong knowledge of Core Java, including OOP concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, and Java 8+ features.
  

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
  

• Understanding of Microservices architecture and distributed applications.
  

• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  

• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
  

• Experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit testing.
  

• Familiarity with Git, Maven, or Gradle.
  

• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and application deployment.
  

• Knowledge of JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, and API integration.
  

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Docker and Kubernetes.
  

• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  

• Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies.
  

• Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, and JWT.
  

• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Swagger/OpenAPI, or Postman.
  

• Application logging and monitoring tools.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  

• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  

• Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
