JOB SUMMARY
Assists the System Administrator with desktop support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and completing assigned projects in a culturally diverse environment. Accurately documents support, repair, and project activities using the helpdesk ticketing system. Provides timely and customer focused technical assistance to staff, supports the maintenance of IT systems and equipment, and contributes to the overall efficiency and security of the organization’s technology operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Work may include, but is not limited to the following examples:
- Remains alert during working hours; attends work as scheduled and complies with attendance policies.
- Troubleshoots common hardware/software issues
- Assist with preparation of Electronic Health Records Reporting
- Maintain organizations Intranet system and update as needed
- Set up email accounts and assign passwords
- Install and set up new computers and printers
- Assist in maintaining servers and monitoring backup process
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills when supporting staff across the organization.
- Responsible for reporting system issues, security concerns, or potential vulnerabilities promptly to the System Administrator.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with staff, vendors, and external partners.
- Participation in ongoing training, including updates to software systems, cybersecurity practices, and organizational procedures, is required.
- Performs other duties as assigned
EXAMPLES OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Office2010, Windows XP, And Windows 10 In a domain environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously
- Familiarity with confidentiality (HIPAA) requirements in a medical setting
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and organize working time efficiently
- Ability to quickly adapt to specific office practices with speed and accuracy
- Ability to maintain a high standard of ethical conduct, exhibit honesty, integrity and ethical behavior
- Understanding of Active Directory functions such as user account creation, password resets, and group permissions.
- Understanding printer configuration, troubleshooting, and network printing.
- Knowledge of mobile device setup and management (iOS/Android).
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to system performance, connectivity, and software compatibility.
- Awareness of phishing, malware, and other cybersecurity threats and how to respond to them
- Skill in maintaining accurate inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Strong attention to detail when installing, configuring, or updating systems.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines for assigned projects.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
The following education and experience qualifications are the minimum requirement used to admit or reject applicants for consideration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university
AND
- Three(3) years of professional and technical computer information technology systems experience
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Driving is required for this position— The employee must maintain a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and be insurable under the agency’s motor vehicle policy.
