Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Job Description

We are looking to hire a lawyer with exceptional communication and analytical skills and demonstrated experience in both transactional and litigation/dispute contexts. The ideal candidate will bring broad legal knowledge across contract and legal brief drafting, corporate law, employment law, regulatory compliance, and commercial dispute resolution.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the Company’s General Counsel and with other departments, as needed, to provide support across a wide range of legal and business initiatives 

• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations applicable to the Company’s operations 

• Conduct legal research and gather evidence in support of transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters 

• Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed 

• Explain the law and give legal advice to internal stakeholders 

• Draft and review contracts, commercial agreements, and related legal documents 

• Manage regulatory and compliance-related matters with respect to general corporate compliance and compliance with state and federal alcohol beverage law 

• Support and coordinate commercial litigation and arbitration matters, including drafting briefs, motions, demand letters, and other litigation documents 

• Respond to government inquiries, subpoenas, and enforcement proceedings, and manage outside counsel in connection with such matters 

• Facilitate creative, practical solutions to complex legal and business problems 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school 

• Admitted attorney of at least 3 years standing 

• Demonstrated litigation or dispute resolution experience, including drafting of briefs, motions, or other advocacy documents — whether in private practice or in-house 

• Exceptional writing and communication skills; ability to write clearly and persuasively for both legal and non-legal audiences 

• Experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents across transactional and contested contexts 

• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills 

• Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure and meet deadlines 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

• Preferred: experience with alcoholic beverage industry regulation, corporate compliance, or another regulated industry 

• Preferred: experience working across multiple state jurisdictions, given the Company's multi-state footprint
