As an IBM Web Services / Enterprise Middleware Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise grade services and integration solutions in a SOA based architecture. The role requires strong hands on Java development experience, exposure to microservices architecture and Spring based frameworks, and practical expertise in IBM integration technologies, including WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and IBM MQ.
You will work across service implementation and integration layers, collaborating with cross functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and reusable middleware solutions aligned with Gainwell development, quality, and operational standards.
This role is strictly involved in application development, integration, and middleware services and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), or any secured or confidential client data. The work is limited to service development, integration, and platform engineering activities and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health or personal information.
10+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development, including Java/J2EE fundamentals.
Strong experience building RESTful and SOAP web services in enterprise environments.
Hands‑on experience with microservices architecture and Spring / Spring Boot frameworks.
Strong hands‑on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
Mandatory experience in ESQL development within ACE for message transformations and integration logic.
Experience working with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) for service deployment and runtime support.
Strong experience with IBM MQ, including messaging concepts and JMS‑based integrations.
Solid understanding of SOA principles, integration patterns, and service‑based architectures.
Proficiency in XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, and transformation techniques.
Experience working in enterprise delivery environments with strong production‑support expectations.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently within a large, matrixed enterprise environment.
