Global Language System, a division of Global Impact Group LLC, is currently seeking a qualified Hausa Interpreter to support interpretation services for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate English ↔ Hausa interpretation via telephone.

  • Facilitate clear communication between USCIS officers and limited English proficient individuals.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during interpretation sessions.

  • Follow interpreter ethics and standards.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Hausa.

  • Prior interpretation experience (legal, immigration, or government preferred).

  • Ability to perform consecutive interpretation accurately.

  • Reliable phone and internet connection.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting for immigration or government agencies.

  • Interpreter certification or professional training.

  • Familiarity with USCIS terminology and procedures.
