Overview :
- Design and build integrations between Guidewire (PC/CC/BC) and external systems
- Work with Edge APIs (REST, JSON)
- Implement asynchronous messaging (events, destinations)
- Handle FNOL APIs, vendor integrations, AI/ML services, and payment gateways
- Manage security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)
- Handle error handling, retries, and idempotency
- Ensure compliance with Guidewire Cloud Standards
Requirements
Key Skills & Tools
- REST API design & OpenAPI specs
- Guidewire Edge APIs
- Messaging configuration (Destinations, Message Payloads)
- Cloud patterns (stateless, async, retry-safe)
- JSON/YAML admin data import
- Logging & observability (Cloud logs, tracing)
- Familiarity with API Gateways (AWS API Gateway / GW Edge)
Typical Work Examples
- External FNOL → ClaimCenter API
- AI image analysis service → ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter enrichment
- Policy issuance → downstream billing/finance system
