Job purpose
To support the roll-out of Fika’s new strategic plan and position us for effective growth and delivery, we are seeking a dynamic, details-oriented numbers expert to serve as our Grants Finance and Pricing Manager. The Grants Finance and Pricing Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Business Development in Fika’s Advocacy, Marketing, and Partnerships Team to support our mission of safe arrivals for everyone, everywhere. The Grants Finance and Pricing manager will take an active role in shaping Fika’s revenue and business strategies, ensuring successful and efficient financial management and reporting of Fika’s project budgets and supporting the preparation of proposal budgets, budget narratives, and financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a varied background in international development program management and proposal development with the ability to bring proposal budgets to fruition through effective program financial management and reporting.
Duties and responsibilities

Finance Strategy
- Work closely with Fika’s Finance Department and program teams to ensure proactive, compliant, and effective fiscal management of project funds
- Monitor and analyze program budgets to enable accurate projection of expenditures, monitoring of actual expenses against planned budgets, burn rate calculations, and corrective plans as needed
- Track deliverables and milestone payments in consultation with program teams, Sr. VP of Business Development, Senior Foundations Manager, and Development Operations Manager, and report on status, including financial performance and impact on organizational goals
- Process sub-grant and sub-contract payments as required and in alignment with disbursement or deliverable schedules
Grant Finance
- Support the Sr. VP of Business Development and Senior Foundations Manager in financial reporting tasks for donors, clients, and key stakeholders
- Develop special financial reports as needed based on client or donor requests
Proposal Pricing
- Conduct pricing research and analysis related to new clients or new contractual mechanisms
- Work closely with the Funds Development Officer to complete pricing and presentation budgets for commercial tenders and proposals and prepare required narrative sections on proposal pricing, maximizing value for money vis-à-vis effective delivery and implementation
- Prepare required financial documentation for partnering or due diligence
- Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of tender cost proposal requirements
- Assist the Business Development team with additional tasks/initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience required in data analysis, grants management, or financial strategy
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing cost proposals for private and public development clients
- Demonstrated experience developing successful cost proposals for various contract types preferred, particularly for bilateral and multilateral donors in accordance with their pricing or tender regulations
- Strong financial acumen and analytic skills
- Ability to work across matrixed and diverse teams, “manage up” to meet deadlines and objectives
- Affinity for fast-paced, high-performing team environment, with ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Prior experience with project financial management and proposal development in the international development or non-profit field preferred
- Advanced proficiency in budgeting and financial management software/accounting systems preferred)
Working conditions
- The Grants Finance and Pricing Manager must self-manage, setting an example for other members of the team in how to prioritize, execute, and support other team members in their objectives. The position may require availability on some evenings and weekends when tight deadlines call for it.

- The employee will be required to regularly work at a computer. We function under hybrid and in some instances fully remote working conditions. Where feasible, the employee will visit Fika’s community sites which are often rural, remote, and hilly.
