Schedule:

9 hrs/wk: Grading student assignments
1 hr/wk: Attending grading team meetings (REMOTE) Tuesday mornings

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Minimum: $29.83

Qualifications:

Mandatory:
-Graduate student, in good standing at UW–Madison (minimum 3.0 GPA)
-Wireless access to email, Canvas, and Zoom (personal laptop/tablet required)
-Bachelor’s degree in a liberal arts and sciences field

Preferred:
-Enrolled in a graduate program outside the College of Letters and Science
-Professional work experience outside academia
-Teaching, grading, or coaching experience of any kind

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

-Ability to articulate the benefit of a liberal arts and sciences education for career success
-Appreciation of the diverse backgrounds, needs, and goals of UW-Madison undergraduates across a wide variety of programs and majors
-Familiarity with student advising and/or career development
-Knowledge of how to give effective feedback

Position Summary/Job Duties:

-Prepare for grading by participating in team meetings
-Grade autonomously, meeting deadlines for a 1-week turnaround on submissions
-Escalate edge cases to the TA

Physical Demands:

-Speak in team meetings
