Own and execute the end-to-end launch process for mid- and lower-tier product updates. Coordinate with Creative, Content, and Product teams to ensure marketing assets are delivered and published across established channels.

About Planning Center

Planning Center exists to help churches build stronger, more connected communities.

Since 2006, over 80,000 churches have trusted our tools to care for their people—whether that’s communicating with their congregation, organizing important information, or coordinating the details that make ministry happen.

We’re an independent, profitable company with no outside investors. That means we get to focus on building products thoughtfully, caring for our team well, and making decisions for the long term.

Our team is fully remote, working together daily through tools like Slack, Asana, Linear, Notion, and Zoom. Three times a year, we gather in Carlsbad, CA to connect in person, strengthen relationships, and align on where we’re headed.

About the Work

Planning Center ships meaningful product updates every single week, and every update is a chance to delight customers and show the market we’re moving fast. As the Go-to-Market Coordinator, you’ll be the one making sure these moments actually reach churches.

You’ll run a repeatable, lightweight launch playbook for our mid- and lower-tier product updates: the releases that are worth telling customers about but are often eclipsed by larger projects. By running these launches from start to finish, you’ll increase the number of product moments that reach our customers and our market. At the same time, you’ll support our two Product Marketing Managers as they own major launches, marketing campaigns, positioning, and research.

This role—focused on coordination and execution—is an excellent first step into a product marketing career. You’ll work closely with Content, Creative, Product, and Support, learning how go-to-market actually works while owning real launches from day one. You’ll report to one of our Product Marketing Managers.

Responsibilities

Launch Ownership

  • Own assigned product launches from end to end—the updates that get minimal marketing support today
  • Manage logistics, handoffs, and timelines for launches: creative briefs for the Marketing team, channel coordination, and scheduling
  • Partner with Product Marketing to identify mid/lower-tier updates, define their messaging and audience, then independently work with Creative and Content to reach the right people through our established channels

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Marketing Team and Product Managers to stay ahead of the shipping calendar and schedule marketing launches
  • Coordinate with Support Teams and the Online Community Manager to ensure that every marketing launch lands as a complete experience (right-sized according to launch tier)
  • Attend cross-departmental product tour meetings and report on findings as needed
  • Keep launch databases, timelines, and projects organized in Notion and Asana

Content & Asset Execution

  • Take frameworks defined by senior Marketing Team members and execute the pieces within them—e.g., build/publish blog posts, build/test emails, create/publish in-app guides
  • Build interactive product and feature demos from an outline
  • Gather and fact-check competitive research
  • Collect, sort, and organize customer testimonials

What You Bring

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
    • Internships and coursework may qualify
    • Candidates who have successfully collaborated with marketing teams while in a non-marketing role may also be considered
  • Exceptionally organized, with a knack for managing multiple moving parts, deadlines, and handoffs without letting things slip
  • Strong communication, experience with copywriting, and an eye for clear messaging
  • Comfortable learning new tools quickly; experience with content, email, or marketing platforms (e.g., a CMS, email tool, or project tracker) is a plus
  • Collaborative and proactive: You ask good questions, chase down answers, and keep work moving along
  • Genuine interest in building a career in product marketing

Competencies

  • Owner of the details. Manages timelines, handoffs, and many concurrent launches with precision, and is the reason nothing gets missed.
  • Reliable executor. Takes a defined strategy or framework and turns it into finished, on-brand, published work.
  • Collaborative connector. Works smoothly across departments, asking thoughtful questions, surfacing blockers early, and keeping everyone aligned.
  • Eager learner. Curious about products, customers, and the craft of product marketing, and actively building toward a Product Marketing career.
