About Us

BugMD makes plant-powered pest control that actually works. Our line of sprays, controls, and devices helps people deal with pest problems quickly and with confidence, and it’s sold on Amazon, direct-to-consumer, and at major national retailers including Walmart and Home Depot.

We’re not a startup hoping something works. We’ve taken pest control from an idea to a category leader on Amazon and onto retail shelves nationwide, and built a brand that consumers love. We move with the speed of a startup: small teams with real ownership and accountability.

This is the place where you’ll see the entire machine: sourcing, product development, formulation, packaging, manufacturing, compliance, marketing, marketplace strategy, retail, all in one team. If you want to build and ship consumer products at scale, there is no better place than this.

The Role

You will lead one of our flagship brands: a category-leading, clean-label home care brand with a loyal consumer base, a top position on Amazon, and distribution in major national retailers. The brand is profitable, growing, and ready for its next chapter. The General Manager is the senior executive who runs it, owning the P&L and steering strategy and execution across every channel: DTC, Marketplaces, and Retail.

You'll own the full picture: strategy, revenue, margin, operations, supply chain, and the team. You'll build the operational, financial, and cultural infrastructure required to scale the bran over the next five years, with a strong focus on Retail expansion.

You’ll know where to push for growth, where to protect margin, and how to build a business that an acquirer will be excited to own.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the brand P&L end to end, with accountability for revenue, margin, EBITDA, cash flow, and growth
  • Build and execute the strategic plan to scale the brand while protecting margin integrity, and lead annual and quarterly planning across Growth, Retail Sales, Operations, Marketplace, and Finance
  • Drive strategy and performance across every channel, including DTC, Marketplace, and Retail. Partner with the Retail Sales Lead to grow retail velocity and execute major customer timelines, and with the Head of Growth on CAC and MER strategy, retention, the influencer ecosystem, and channel diversification
  • Develop a high-performance leadership team across Brand, Retail Sales, and Growth, and install the daily rhythms that create clarity, accountability, and measurable outcomes
  • Foster a results-driven, low-ego, high-ownership culture
  • Serve as the primary executive interface for investors, the Board, and future strategic buyers, supporting growth equity partners with transparent reporting, capital planning, and strategic initiatives
  • Build a business with strong acquirer appeal: category growth, household penetration, defensible distribution, repeat purchase rate, and velocity

Requirements

  • 10–20+ years in CPG, including at least one leadership role with full P&L ownership
  • Experience operating across DTC, Amazon, and Retail at the same time, with a strong command of omnichannel dynamics
  • Experience growing and managing the Retail Sales channel from infancy
  • Experience leading or supporting fundraising, board meetings, and investor relationships, with the credibility to earn the trust of investors, advisers, and strategic partners
  • Deep general management skills across operations, finance, commercialization, and go-to-market, paired with strong financial literacy: contribution margin, working capital, S&OP, cost structure, trade spend, and EBITDA drivers
  • Highly commercial and data-driven; elevates teams, holds high standards, and leads with low entitlement and high accountability
  • Working knowledge of the advertising, product safety, and retail compliance expectations relevant to a consumer products business
  • A build-to-exit mindset, genuine comfort with fast-moving environments, and the judgment to challenge Growth, Marketing, and Finance with the right questions rather than micromanage

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary designed to reward high performance and impact
  • 401(k) plan with company matching
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Stock option plan so you can share in the value you help build
  • Generous paid time off and company holidays
  • Real ownership and autonomy to drive measurable growth
  • Amazing pet-friendly office environment

Salary

  • $250,000 - $275,000.

Why BugMD
