THE ROLE:

We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Web Manager to join GAIN and take ownership of the planning, build and ongoing management of GAIN’s own websites.  Currently these sites are www.thisisgain.com and https://iq.thisisgain.com/ 

We are actively hiring independent contractors based in the Philippines, ready to take on meaningful, remote work with international clients. You might be a great fit for our network if you're a self-motivated professional who thrives in flexible work environments and values autonomy.

You’ll be responsible for managing website, landing page and other related projects, from discovery and technical planning through to build, launch and post-launch optimisation. Working mostly in Wordpress but also across other CMS platforms, you’ll turn marketing briefs into fully functioning, high-quality websites and web pages. 

This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable managing multiple websites and platforms at once. You’ll be confident working with the GAIN sales and marketing team, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and making sure quality, accessibility and performance standards are met before anything goes live. 

You’ll manage day-to-day web projects and work closely with specialists in design, development, SEO, paid media, content and strategy.  

Success will be measured through the quality and reliability of the websites you deliver, the timeliness and commercial impact of your projects and your contribution to the continued development of GAIN’s web presence.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Web Strategy and Planning 

• Develop website strategies and roadmaps aligned with GAIN’s commercial objectives, audiences and wider marketing plans. 

• Take responsibility for the quality, consistency and timely delivery of website projects. 

• Assess existing websites to identify structural, performance, content and platform improvements. 

• Recommend the most appropriate approach for GAIN’s needs and budget. 

• Plan website migrations, replatforming projects and redesigns, minimising risk to existing traffic, rankings and functionality. 

• Balance short-term requests with the development of scalable, sustainable website architecture. 

• Monitor developments in web platforms, browsers and standards, adjusting recommendations where they create material risk or opportunity.
  

Website Build and Technical Delivery 

• Manage the end-to-end build process across discovery, design handover, development, QA, launch and post-launch support. 

• Translate design files and briefs into clear technical requirement. 

• Oversee content population, redirects, integrations and third-party tooling. 

• Conduct or oversee thorough QA across browsers, devices and screen sizes. 

• Maintain clear documentation of site architecture, integrations, credentials and technical decisions. 

• Troubleshoot technical issues methodically, escalating where necessary.
  

CMS, Content and Site Management 

• Manage day-to-day administration across CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Wix, etc 

• Support internal teams with content updates, page builds, form changes and general site maintenance. 

• Establish clear governance for content publishing, user permissions, version control and approval processes. 

• Train internal colleagues to use the CMS confidently and correctly. 

• Maintain plugin, theme and platform updates, monitoring for compatibility issues and security patches. 

• Ensure consistency of templates, components and design patterns as a site grows and evolves.
  

Quality, Performance and Compliance 

• Monitor site speed, Core Web Vitals, uptime and technical health, identifying and resolving issues proactively.

• Work with SEO specialists to ensure technical changes protect or improve organic visibility.

• Support accessibility best practice across websites, working towards recognised standards such as WCAG.

• Coordinate security reviews, backups, disaster-recovery planning and vulnerability patching with relevant specialists. 

• Support quality-assurance and sign-off processes before and after significant releases or changes.

• Maintain a practical, up-to-date understanding of data-privacy, cookie-consent and accessibility requirements relevant to client websites.

Requirements

Essential 

• Approximately three or more years' experience in website management, digital production or technical project management, ideally within an agency, consultancy or multi-client environment. 

• Demonstrable experience managing website builds, redesigns or migrations from planning through to launch. 

• Strong working knowledge of Wordpress and a general understanding of others. 

• A sound understanding of website architecture, hosting, DNS, SSL and core web technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript). 

• Confidence conducting or overseeing QA across browsers, devices and screen sizes. 

• An understanding of Core Web Vitals, site performance and how technical decisions affect user experience and SEO. 

• Experience managing several website projects or accounts simultaneously. 

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to project delivery. 

• Confidence managing relationships and presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders. 

• The ability to collaborate effectively with design, development, SEO, paid media and content teams. 

• Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Desirable 

• Experience with website accessibility auditing and remediation. 

• Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and basic conversion-tracking setup. 

• Familiarity with version control (such as Git) and staging/production environment workflows. 

• An interest in how AI tools can support website planning, QA, content migration and workflow efficiency.
