Confidence Wealth Management is seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage the company’s day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations.
This is a hands-on individual-contributor position responsible for maintaining accurate and current financial records, completing monthly reconciliations and close procedures, coordinating payroll, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, processing vendor and contractor payments, and preparing standard financial reports for management and the company’s outside tax and accounting professionals.
The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, dependable, discreet, and comfortable independently managing recurring bookkeeping responsibilities. The role will support leadership with accurate financial information but will not be responsible for advanced financial strategy, tax advice, audit oversight, or company-wide financial planning.
Maintain accurate and current books in QuickBooks Online or the company’s designated accounting platform.
Record, classify, and review financial transactions.
Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Prepare and post routine journal entries and adjusting entries.
Reconcile bank, credit card, payment-platform, and other balance-sheet accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
Receive, review, categorize, and enter vendor invoices.
Coordinate invoice and payment schedules.
Process vendor and contractor payments.
Track outstanding bills and upcoming payment obligations.
Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and reporting.
Prepare and issue client or company invoices, as applicable.
Record customer payments and maintain accurate receivable balances.
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on past-due amounts.
Reconcile accounts receivable records to the general ledger.
Coordinate payroll with the company’s payroll provider.
Review payroll reports for completeness and accuracy before processing.
Record payroll activity and reconcile payroll-related accounts.
Maintain organized payroll documentation.
Coordinate with management, the payroll provider, and outside professionals to address payroll discrepancies.
Support bookkeeping requirements associated with California employees and payroll.
Complete monthly bookkeeping and close procedures on schedule.
Prepare standard monthly financial statements, including:
Profit and loss statement
Balance sheet
Cash flow report
Accounts payable and accounts receivable summaries
Budget-to-actual reports, when requested
Provide management with clear, accurate, and properly organized financial reports.
Track cash balances and upcoming financial obligations.
Identify unusual transactions, missing documentation, or material discrepancies and bring them to management’s attention.
Demonstrated experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper, Senior Bookkeeper, Accounting Specialist, or similar hands-on accounting professional.
Strong working knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping.
Experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Experience coordinating payroll and reconciling payroll activity.
Ability to complete monthly close procedures and prepare standard financial statements.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting platform.
Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.
Ability to independently organize recurring deadlines and maintain current financial records.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
Sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information.
High standards of confidentiality, integrity, dependability, and follow-through.
Ability to identify discrepancies, ask appropriate questions, and escalate issues promptly.
Familiarity with California payroll bookkeeping and documentation.
Experience working with financial services, wealth management, registered investment advisory, or other professional-services firms.
Experience supporting a remote workforce and independent contractors.
Experience with platforms such as Gusto, Bill.com, Deel, Wise, Payoneer, or similar systems.
Familiarity with contractor payments and international payment platforms.
Experience coordinating directly with an outside CPA, tax preparer, or fractional Controller.
Bookkeeping certification, accounting coursework, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is helpful but not required.
CPA or Controller experience is not required.
