About the project

Our client is a specialized digital agency with nearly two decades of experience crafting smart, scalable web solutions. They specialize in custom Shopify development, bespoke applications, and complex third-party integrations — helping global brands build powerful digital commerce experiences. In this role, you will join their growing engineering team to design, build, and optimize high-performing storefronts and industry-leading e-commerce architecture.

Your area of responsibility

• Designing and developing scalable Shopify websites and high-performing digital commerce architecture.
• Building and customizing Shopify themes utilizing Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to convert designs into responsive, dynamic storefronts.
• Developing and maintaining complex third-party integrations and robust API connections to extend Shopify’s core capabilities.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code that aligns with modern development best practices.
• Partnering closely with designers, project managers, customer success teams, webmasters, and leadership throughout the full project lifecycle.
•  Testing, optimizing, and iterating on client solutions while exploring new technologies to enhance internal development workflows.

Skills and requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Full-Stack Developer with deep proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on proficiency with React, Node.js, and Express.js.
• Proven experience building and customizing Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, with strong hands-on knowledge of Shopify Liquid, Shopify APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Working knowledge of PHP, Laravel, and MySQL for robust backend data management and integrations.
• Proficiency with GitHub, version control, and modern development pipelines.
• Proven ability to build responsive, high-performing e-commerce websites.
• Strong ability to translate business constraints into engineering tradeoffs and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Will be a plus

• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into your development workflow (e.g., LLMs, code assistants, AI APIs, automation tools).
