About the project
The project is a FinTech SaaS platform in the energy domain, focused on cash flow forecasting, financial analytics, and operational planning for oil, gas, and energy companies. The platform supports forecasting, reporting, profitability analysis, CO₂-related calculations, and other data-driven processes across the energy sector. The product is also actively expanding into green energy and advanced analytics.
Your area of responsibility
- Owning full-stack features end-to-end, from scoping to deployment and monitoring;
- Developing backend services using Python;
- Building user-facing functionality with React and TypeScript;
- Designing and maintaining REST APIs with OpenAPI contracts;
- Working with structured datasets and supporting data analysis needs;
- Contributing to architecture decisions and improving system maintainability;
- Writing and maintaining backend and frontend tests;
- Reviewing code and supporting engineering quality standards;
- Communicating technical trade-offs to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills and requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience;
- Strong production experience with Python 3.12+;
- Hands-on experience with Flask and/or FastAPI;
- Experience with async/await, type annotations, and clean backend architecture;
- Production experience with React 18+ and TypeScript;
- Experience with state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query;
- Experience designing REST APIs with OpenAPI contracts;
- Experience working with structured datasets using pandas and/or numpy;
- Production experience with document databases such as MongoDB, Firestore, or similar;
- Experience with testing tools such as pytest, Vitest, or Jest;
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose;
- Strong ownership, communication skills, and ability to work with ambiguous requirements.
Will be a plus
- Experience with MongoDB aggregation pipelines, Mongoose, or PyMongo;
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or GCS;
- Exposure to LLM APIs or AI agent frameworks;
- Experience in energy, oil & gas, financial analytics, forecasting, or reporting platforms.
