The designer will create visual assets across print, digital, and social channels while maintaining brand consistency. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on creative direction and manage their own project queue.
We're looking for a freelance visual designer to support our marketing team on an ongoing, project-based basis. You'll produce design work across print, digital, social, and event channels, picking up briefs as they come in and delivering polished assets on deadline.
This isn't a one-off gig. We have a steady stream of marketing work and need a reliable creative partner who can ramp up or down as volume shifts. Expect roughly 10–20 hours per week, with flexibility on when and where you work.
Design assets and deliverables for print and digital campaigns, social media, presentations, event materials, and internal communications
Apply and help maintain our brand standards and design system, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint
Collaborate with our marketing, content, design, engineering/product, and CEO/founder to align on tone, messaging, and creative direction
Prepare, package, and hand off final files for print production or digital deployment
Research current design trends and bring fresh ideas to briefs, iterating on concepts based on team feedback
Manage your own project queue, communicate timelines proactively, and flag capacity issues early
Experience organizing and maintaining a shared asset library (Figma, Canva, Google Drive, etc.) so stakeholders can find and use the right files
A portfolio that shows you can do the work – we care about the quality of what you’ve made, not how long you’ve been making it
Proficiency in Figma, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Strong eye for typography, layout, and color
Comfort working within an established brand system rather than starting from scratch every time
Responsive communication, reliable turnarounds, and comfort working asynchronously with a distributed team
Experience with leveraging AI tools to accelerate workflows, from concept generation and copy drafts to image editing; and helping teams build repeatable AI-assisted design processes
A genuine interest in mission-driven work: we're in digital health, and the people we reach are often navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives. Design that serves them well matters more to us than design that just looks good.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with web/landing page design (Figma Sites, Webflow)
Comfort with digital ad creative (display, paid social) and an eye for photo selection and image editing
Experience creating social media graphics — knowing what performs well across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
Familiarity with design tokens, component libraries, or design-system workflows
Hours: ~10–20 per week, flexible schedule
Type: Freelance/contractor, potential for contract-to-hire
Duration: 3-month engagement with option to extend
Location: Remote
Rate: $50-80/hr depending on experience and location
To apply, send your portfolio, resume, a brief note on the kind of design work you're most drawn to, and your typical availability, and your desired hourly rate.
