Freelance Report Writer - APAC

We are seeking experienced freelance Report Writers to support the production of high-quality, client-ready market research reports. This role is ideal for professionals who can transform complex information from multiple sources into clear, structured, insightful business analysis.

We welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in market research, business journalism, financial and equity research, consulting, industry analysis, and IPO/prospectus preparation.

Successful candidates will work on a project basis and may have opportunities for ongoing collaboration based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Synthesize quantitative and qualitative research into clear, compelling written reports.
• Transform research findings into insightful business narratives and actionable recommendations.
• Draft market, industry, company, and consumer analyses for client-facing deliverables.
• Interpret datasets, market trends, and competitive intelligence to support strategic insights.
• Structure report content logically and consistently to meet client and editorial standards.
• Verify information, challenge assumptions, and ensure factual accuracy.
• Collaborate with research teams to clarify findings and strengthen report quality.
• Edit and refine content to ensure clarity, consistency, and professional presentation.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high standard of analytical and written output.

Requirements

Essential

• Excellent written English with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated experience producing professional reports, analytical articles, research publications, or business intelligence content.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Experience interpreting data and translating findings into meaningful business insights.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Highly Desirable

• Experience writing market research, consulting, industry, strategy, or competitive intelligence reports.
• Background in business, financial, or trade journalism.
• Experience supporting investment research, equity research, due diligence, or corporate strategy projects.
• Familiarity with market sizing, forecasting, and industry analysis methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience preparing IPO reports, prospectuses, investment memoranda, or other capital markets documentation.
• Experience covering consumer markets, FMCG, retail, technology, healthcare, financial services, or industrial sectors.
• Experience working with international clients and multicultural research teams.
