AI Summary

Location: Remote (U.S. only) · Type: Part-time, 1099 contract → potential full-time W2 · Comp: $2,000/month retainer + performance bonus

Everyone knows the only jobs after the singularity are going to be podcaster, degenerate gambler, hot girl, and black-market Chinese peptide dealer.

Well, Chinese peptides are legal now; we're too smart to be gamblers, and we're not quite desperate enough to become hot girls. So we started a podcast.

The Handsome Hour is a dating podcast hosted by three successful tech founders. We want to turn it into the best show in the world on dating, mating, relationships, status, attraction, masculinity, and "the discourse." The basic thesis: wouldn't it be nice if someone talking about dating actually knew what they were doing? Wouldn't it be cool to have a handsome older brother who's been around the block and, rather than trying to sell you some stupid supplement stack, actually had your back and wanted to help you navigate the hellscape of modern dating? We are your two handsome and one average-looking older brothers.

Most podcasts fail. This one might too. If you need a normal career ladder or a safe line on your resume, this is not for you.

But if you are unusually smart, unusually agentic, media-native, and understand that a regular job is the worst possible choice you could make right now — this might be exactly for you.

We are seeking a part-time founding producer.

You will also help us launch a podcast for Show My Score, featuring smart high school students who've accomplished amazing things (and are still struggling with the job market or university acceptance). Since Show My Score offers SAT verification, we'll favor applicants who've verified a high SAT at showmyscore.com.

Eligibility

The Role

You will own the production machine. That means editing or managing the edit, improving audio, shipping clips, coordinating guests, managing publishing, running the website, building repeatable workflows, finding contractors when needed, and generally making sure the show gets better every week.

You do not need to personally do every task forever. You do need to be the kind of person who figures out what needs to happen and makes it happen.

Ideal Background

  • Strong audio editing experience

  • Comfortable with video/social clips

  • Taste for internet-native media

  • High IQ, high agency, low need for supervision

  • Interested in dating, relationships, masculinity, social dynamics, or the broader mating market

  • Comfortable with risk

  • Able to move fast without being sloppy

  • Entrepreneurial enough to treat this like a founding role, not a gig

  • Experience working with AI

You will have latitude. If we need editors, designers, software, contractors, guests, tools, or weird experiments, you'll help us decide what to spend on and how to make it work.

Compensation

  • $2,000/month (initial part-time 1099 contract retainer)

  • Performance bonus: direct upside scaled to show growth, downloads, and revenue

The production output and media delivery pipeline are scaled around an estimated workload of roughly 20 hours a week. We don't track your time or clock your hours—you have complete autonomy over your own schedule as long as the episodes drop on time and the clips keep hitting the feed.

We want a founding partner, not a career freelancer. Prove your agency and competency on the contract, and this scales into a full-time, salaried W2 role with equity/real upside as the network grows.

The Vibe

Closer to joining a punk band than taking an internship. A small cadre, trying to lift something heavy. Long odds. Real upside. Glory if it works. Embarrassment if it doesn't. Either way, not boring.

If you want a normal media job, don't apply.

To Apply

Send us:

  • A short note on why this is obviously for you

  • Examples of audio/video/media work

  • Any weird proof that you are unusually competent, obsessive, or hard to discourage

  • Optional but preferred: SAT scores verified at showmyscore.com

Come narrowly escape the permanent underclass with us, or die trying.
