AI Summary

You will partner with the founding team to execute strategic business objectives, including fundraising support and operational expansion. Additionally, you will manage internal workflows and contribute to the development of management and controlling systems.

Take a front-row seat at MicroHarvest, where we're unlocking the power of nature's tiniest organisms to feed a growing planet. As a Founders' Associate, you'll partner directly with our founding team, turning bold ideas into tangible impact across finance, operations, partnerships, and growth. You'll help steer a mission-driven, venture-backed company that's setting new benchmarks for sustainable protein, while gaining a panoramic view of what it takes to build an industry-shaping biotech startup from the inside out. If you're excited to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and to leave the world noticeably better than you found it, we'd love to meet you.

Tasks:

  • Collaborate directly with the founding team to identify, prioritize, and execute key business objectives and strategic projects.
  • Support our C-level team in preparing our next fundraising round - from the pitch to the finalization of contracts.
  • Provide conceptual support in the further development of our controlling and management systems.
  • Lead our operational expansion projects: building out our supplier network and capacity planning.
  • Continuously enhance internal workflows to boost efficiency, and implement systems that support consistent productivity and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • A degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in a fast-growing startup, VC or a top-tier consultancy.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, reliability, and a structured working style, enabling you to keep multiple projects on track, coordinate diverse stakeholders, and deliver outstanding results.
  • Enjoyment of working with data, and strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • An independent, hands-on way of working.
  • Enthusiasm for sustainability and innovation, and a passion for contributing to positive impact on global food systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Ideally based in Hamburg or the surrounding area – alternatively location in our Lisbon office or remote possible.
