]Position Summary

The Financial Statements, Notes, and Flux Analyst supports the OneStream implementation by helping design, validate, test, and deploy capabilities for financial statements, note disclosures, and variance analysis reporting. This role works closely with finance, accounting, reporting, system integrator, and PMO teams to translate federal reporting requirements into functional inputs, validate mappings and logic, and help ensure outputs are accurate, complete, reconcilable, and usable for monthly, quarterly, and external reporting.

Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.


Key Responsibilities

     Support requirements definition for financial statements, note disclosures, and flux analysis reporting needs.

     Translate accounting, federal reporting, and business reporting requirements into functional design inputs for the implementation team.

     Advise on alignment with OMB Circular A-136, Treasury reporting requirements, SFFAS, and agency-specific financial statement and disclosure expectations.

     Help define report structures, GL mappings, calculations, hierarchies, and supporting schedules for financial statements and notes.

     Support design and validation of flux reporting logic, including period-over-period variance analysis, materiality thresholds, and explanatory reporting needs.

     Validate source-to-report mappings, account relationships, metadata, and reporting logic to ensure outputs are complete and accurate.

     Participate in testing of financial statements, notes, and flux reports, including reconciliation, defect identification, retesting, and resolution support.

     Review draft outputs to confirm usability, consistency, drill-down capability, and alignment with business and external reporting needs.

     Coordinate with accounting, reporting, data, and technical teams to resolve issues affecting statement, note, or flux outputs.

     Support UAT, user confirmation testing, training readiness, cutover, go-live, and early stabilization for reporting capabilities.

     Assist with documentation of reporting requirements, business rules, test scripts, control considerations, and user procedures for sustainment handoff.


Required Qualifications

     Strong understanding of federal financial statements, note disclosures, reconciliations, and period-over-period variance analysis.

     Strong knowledge of OMB Circular A-136, Treasury reporting expectations, and federal external reporting control points such as tie-points and edit checks.

     Ability to translate accounting and reporting requirements into functional specifications, mappings, test scenarios, and validation criteria.

     Experience preparing and validating financial statements, chart of accounts mappings, roll-forwards, and rounding.

     Strong written documentation skills for requirements, business rules, test evidence, procedures, and sign-off support.

     DoD Experience a plus
