We are seeking a Finance Functional Lead to take ownership of the global Finance template within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) across a multi-entity global organisation.
This is a senior functional and governance role responsible for maintaining consistency across the D365 Finance environment, supporting live entities, and overseeing finance-related changes across the global template. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance leadership, IT, business stakeholders and implementation partners, while progressively bringing ERP finance support and knowledge in-house.
- Own and govern the global D365 Finance template, including chart of accounts, financial dimensions, posting profiles, tax structures, intercompany configuration and other core finance settings.
- Review and approve finance-related change requests, ensuring standardisation across legal entities while managing appropriate localisations and exceptions.
- Support multi-entity D365 rollouts from solution design and validation through UAT, go-live and hypercare, ensuring controlled deployment across new entities.
- Provide functional support to live D365 Finance environments, including issue resolution, month-end and period-close support, configuration maintenance and ongoing production health.
- Lead the transition of finance support responsibilities from external consultants to an internal ERP capability, including knowledge transfer, documentation and process governance.
- Partner with Finance and IT stakeholders to translate accounting and business requirements into effective D365 Finance solutions, while providing guidance, training and support to key finance users.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and/or AX Finance, with sufficient depth to independently own and govern a finance template.
- Proven experience with at least one full end-to-end, multi-entity D365/AX Finance implementation, from design through go-live and hypercare.
- Strong functional knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, intercompany, taxation and financial localisation.
- Demonstrated experience working within multi-legal-entity environments, supporting both ongoing rollouts and live production systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls and ERP governance, with the confidence to challenge business requirements and maintain global standards.
- Experience working across Finance, IT, business stakeholders and implementation partners, with the ability to translate finance requirements into D365 configuration and solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to operate as the internal functional authority for D365 Finance.
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certification, such as MB-310, or equivalent.
- Experience with group-level consolidation and intercompany processes.
- Experience transitioning ERP support and governance from an external implementation partner to an internal team.
