The Field Service Technician provides on-site lubrication services, including preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and system repairs for industrial clients. They are also responsible for conducting oil analysis, managing lubricant inventory, and maintaining positive client relationships.

Summary:The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site lubrication services to industrial and manufacturing clients. This includes performing preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of lubrication systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lubrication Services:
- Perform routine lubrication tasks such as greasing, oiling, and flushing of industrial equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair lubrication systems, including centralized systems, automatic lubricators, and oil mist systems.
- Conduct oil analysis and interpret results to identify potential equipment problems.
- Manage inventory of lubricants and related supplies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve lubrication-related equipment malfunctions.
- Perform equipment inspections and generate service reports.
Customer Service:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear appropriate safety equipment at all times.
- Conduct work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Comply with all environmental regulations.
- Other Duties:
- Participate in training and development programs.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
Job Types: Contract, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week, usually working 7/12's
Compensation Package:
- Hourly pay, paid weekly w/ per diem included
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have TWIC card, Basic Plus, and OSHA certifications****
- Must be over 60 miles from work site to get per diem
- Must be active or willing to test at DISA site****
- Must have FRC's, hard hat, steel toe boots and safety glasses
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial lubrication or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Certifications in lubrication or related fields.
