This is a 100% traveling position. When not at a project, you may work from your home office on project management type activities.
TEiC Services is seeking motivated Field Engineers to support industrial construction projects across the United States. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and working directly with construction teams to drive successful project execution.
As a Field Engineer, you will serve as the bridge between engineering, planning, and construction operations, ensuring work is properly planned, ready for execution, and completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. You'll work alongside superintendents, craft professionals, engineers, and project controls teams to remove obstacles, resolve technical issues, and keep projects moving forward.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day technical support to field supervision and construction crews.
- Develop, maintain, and manage construction work packages to ensure field readiness.
- Coordinate weekly work plans, identify constraints, and support look-ahead planning efforts.
- Resolve field issues, manage RFIs, and ensure crews are working from current drawings and specifications.
- Track installed quantities, productivity, and project performance metrics.
- Conduct field walk-downs to verify progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
- Support safety planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safe work practices.
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, engineers, and project controls to drive successful execution.
- Assist with commissioning, system turnover, and project closeout activities.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in field engineering, construction, project engineering, or a related role.
- Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining construction or installation work packages.
- Familiarity with construction management platforms such as InEight or similar software.
- Working knowledge of construction sequencing, planning, and field execution.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar tools is preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively to project sites across the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting industrial construction, power generation, or heavy industrial projects.
- Knowledge of piping, structural steel, equipment installation, or mechanical construction activities.
- Experience with quantity tracking, productivity measurement, earned value management, or project controls.
- Exposure to commissioning, startup, or system turnover activities.
- OSHA 30 certification, or the ability to obtain it shortly after hire.
