About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fee Tracking Coordinator to join our Social Security Disability practice. This position plays a critical role in monitoring attorney fee payments, tracking fee authorizations, and ensuring accurate collection of fees issued by the Social Security Administration (SSA). The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a Social Security Disability law firm, understands SSA fee authorization and payment processes, and is highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track attorney fee payments issued by the Social Security Administration.
  • Monitor pending fee authorizations and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Review Notices of Award, fee authorizations, and related SSA correspondence.
  • Research discrepancies between expected and received payments.
  • Communicate with SSA offices regarding payment status and fee-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of payment tracking.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and accounting teams to resolve payment issues.
  • Generate reports on outstanding fees and payment trends.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and SSA regulations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a Social Security Disability law firm or SSA-related environment.
  • Working knowledge of SSA attorney fee payment processes, fee agreements, and fee authorizations.
  • Experience reviewing Notices of Award and SSA correspondence.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with fee petitions and representative fee collections.
  • Paralegal, legal assistant, or SSD case management background.
  • Familiarity with high-volume disability practices.

Schedule: 

  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position, Monday through Friday. 
  • Working hours are typically 9:00 am - 6:00 pm EST
