AI Summary

The role involves shaping the regulatory landscape for AI and robotics by engaging with policymakers in Berlin and Brussels. It also focuses on positioning the company as a European tech leader through strategic media engagement and industrial policy advocacy.
  • Shape the regulatory landscape. Engage proactively with policymakers in Berlin and Brussels, contributing technical and industry expertise to the EU AI Act, robotics regulation, and industrial policy in support of responsible innovation and European technological sovereignty.

  • Build trusted relationships at the highest level. Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers across the German federal government, the European Commission, EU Parliament, and relevant ministries and industry bodies — including strategic media engagements where they support our public-affairs priorities.

  • Position NEURA as a European tech leader. Develop and communicate a clear story for why NEURA represents a strategic opportunity for Germany and Europe to lead — not follow — in robotics, humanoids, and AI.

  • Drive industrial and location policy. Make the case for framework conditions — talent, capital, infrastructure, procurement — that enable deep-tech scaleups to thrive in Germany.

  • Be the bridge between tech and politics. Translate complex robotics and AI topics into language that resonates with policymakers — and bring political and societal perspectives back into our strategic decision-making.

  • Own speaker bureau and event strategy. Identify and orchestrate the right stages — from policy roundtables to global keynotes (Bundeskanzleramt, EU institutions, WEF) — that maximize NEURA's strategic visibility and impact.

What We Can Look Forward To

  • 7+ years of senior experience in public affairs, government relations, or political communications — ideally with exposure to technology, industrial policy, or deep-tech sectors.

  • A proven track record of engaging credibly with senior government officials, EU institutions, and industry leaders — with an established network across the Bundestag, federal ministries, the European Commission, EU Parliament, and leading industry associations.

  • International exposure across the EU, US, and/or Asia, paired with a sharp understanding of the geopolitics of the global tech race and Germany's role in it.

  • Strategic mind, operational hands. You shape long-term external affairs strategy and personally drive the meetings, briefings, and stakeholder maps that make it real.

  • Scaleup mentality. You thrive in ambiguity and speed, build from the ground up without a playbook, and bring entrepreneurial ownership — spotting what NEURA needs externally, building the case internally, and delivering.

  • Fluent, sharp English is a must (written and spoken, at CEO-briefing level); German is a must.

  • You believe in the mission. You see cognitive robotics and humanoids as a once-in-a-generation opportunity — and you want to play a defining role in making it happen.

Location: Berlin preferred; flexibility for Metzingen HQ and frequent travel to Brussels, the US, China, and key political and industry hubs.
