The Expert Modeller provides high-level statistical advice for epidemiological studies and manages complex analytical processes for specific projects. They are responsible for supervising other statisticians, designing advanced methodologies, and acting as the primary point of contact for modelling queries.
The responsibilities for the Expert Modeller include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Closely collaborate with the Head of RWE Statistics, Modelling and HEOR,
- Provide statistical advice that ensures the preparation and conduct of epidemiological studies is of high scientific quality;
- Support study preparation with simulations and sample size calculations;
- Improve the totality of analytical processes to enhance the team’s overall efficiency;
- Manage and oversee the totality of analyses for specific projects or clients
- Supervise statistical activities of other Statisticians to facilitate their professional growth while ensuring the quality and accuracy of the delivered output;
- Act as advisor for other Statisticians on general statistical topics to facilitate their growth;
- Participate in the preparation of offers for statistical projects with input on, e.g. required sample size, proposed study design, statistical study budget.
- Develop scientific presentations and/or publications on statistical topics that showcase scientific excellence (including work conducted by peers);
- Provide critical and detailed review of study documents (e.g. protocols, SAPs, statistical programs) within their area of expertise to ensure documents are of the highest quality;
- Act as point of contact for any internal/external questions with regards to modelling.
- Ten years of relevant working experience, with a PhD in statistics being a strong asset;
- Planning and performing statistical analyses and coordinating their QC;
- Designing advanced statistical methodologies;

- Explaining statistical concepts to non-statisticians;
