Job Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Prepare accurate estimates and material takeoffs for structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
- Prepare pricing, bids, and professional proposals.
- Submit bids and follow up with customers regarding pricing and projects.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Requirements
- Construction estimating experience preferred; 1 year preferred but not required.
- Structural or miscellaneous steel experience is a plus.
- Bluebeam experience preferred.
- Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong math, computer, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet, telephone, and dedicated workspace required.
Candidates with less experience may be considered based on qualifications and willingness to learn.
