Position Summary

The Enterprise Project Manager leads the successful delivery of complex, non-routine initiatives for Masterworks’ full-service clients. While the role may support clients across the agency, it will place particular emphasis on large enterprise clients whose projects require tailored planning, cross-functional coordination, and new ways of working.

This role is responsible for guiding unique products, services, and client deliverables through discovery, planning, execution, and closeout. The Enterprise Project Manager brings structure to work that may not yet have an established process, coordinating the people, requirements, dependencies, and decisions necessary to move it forward successfully.

Working closely with Program Managers, client stakeholders, agency teams, external project managers, and vendors, this individual translates strategic priorities and broad schedule expectations into clear, actionable project plans. The Enterprise Project Manager also helps establish the processes and workflows needed to deliver new offerings effectively and transition repeatable work into ongoing operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Process Development

  • Lead complex, non-routine projects from discovery through closeout, translating objectives into clear scopes, milestones, dependencies, responsibilities, and execution plans.
  • Establish project governance, meeting and communication rhythms, decision-making processes, and documentation appropriate to each initiative.
  • Maintain visibility into project status, upcoming milestones, dependencies, and decisions; address project-level risks, issues, and blockers, escalating broader client, portfolio, financial, or operational implications as appropriate.
  • Drive process innovation and continuous improvement by designing practical workflows, responsibility frameworks, templates, and documentation for new products, services, and client-specific delivery models.
  • Identify operational gaps, unclear handoffs, and execution risks, testing and refining new processes during implementation with feedback from clients and delivery teams.
  • Conclude projects with appropriate documentation, stakeholder alignment, lessons learned, and a clear transition of repeatable work into sustainable ongoing ownership.

Client Strategy & Coordination

  • Serve as a trusted, client-facing project leader for complex initiatives requiring customized planning and coordination.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, planning meetings, status reviews, and decision-making conversations that translate client goals and strategic priorities into actionable project direction for first-time projects, with a goal of long-term productization within Masterworks’ established business units.
  • Anticipate enterprise-client needs and bring clarity, structure, and momentum to ambiguous or evolving assignments.
  • Communicate project information appropriately to executive and execution-level audiences, building alignment on priorities, responsibilities, decisions, and next steps.
  • Ensure requirements, expectations, and success criteria are sufficiently defined before work advances, maintaining focus on deliverables, milestones, and client needs.

Cross-Functional & Partner Management

  • Partner with Agency, Ops, and Business Unit leaders to understand client priorities, strategic context, sequencing, and broad pro forma schedule expectations.
  • Coordinate the internal teams required for each initiative—such as strategy, account, creative, media, data, production, technology, and finance—alongside external project managers, capital partners, and other outside vendors as needed.
  • Clarify roles, responsibilities, handoffs, dependencies, decision rights, communication expectations, and escalation paths across participating teams.
  • Establish clear expectations for external-partner scope, milestones, and deliverables; monitor progress and alignment with the broader project plan and client expectations.
  • Integrate internal and external work streams into a unified plan, facilitating timely decisions and follow-through across stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from initial discovery through implementation and closeout.
  • Demonstrated success working with large or enterprise-level clients in an agency, consulting, marketing, technology, professional-services, or similarly complex environment.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous objectives into organized, actionable project plans.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to identify dependencies, surface risks, resolve obstacles, and maintain momentum without losing sight of the broader objective.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to determine when an issue can be resolved within the project team and when it should be escalated.
  • Experience designing or implementing new operational processes and workflows.
  • Proficiency with project-management and collaborative-work platforms.
  • Project-management certification or equivalent formal training is preferred but not required.

Core Competencies

  • Enterprise project leadership
  • Structured problem-solving
  • Cross-functional coordination
  • Client communication and facilitation

Measures of Success

Success in this role will be demonstrated by:

  • Complex, customized initiatives moving from ambiguity to clear and effective execution.
  • Meeting agreed-upon deliverables, milestones, quality expectations, and client needs.
  • Clients and internal teams having consistent clarity about responsibilities, decisions, dependencies, and next steps.
