Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain electrical BIM models and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit and other applicable BIM/CAD software.
  • Prepare electrical plans, sections, schedules, details, and related drawings based on engineering markups, redlines, design documents, and technical direction.
  • Develop and review electrical shop drawings and detailed construction documents to support project execution.
  • Model and document electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, electrical equipment, conduit routing, and cable tray systems, as applicable to the project.
  • Perform model coordination with other building disciplines, including mechanical, structural, architectural, and plumbing systems.
  • Identify, document, and assist in resolving model clashes, interferences, and constructability issues.
  • Interpret engineering design intent and translate technical information into accurate, coordinated BIM models and drawings.
  • Work independently on assigned drafting and modeling tasks while collaborating with electrical engineers and project team members to resolve technical questions.
  • Maintain model accuracy, drawing quality, and compliance with project standards, established BIM protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • Support project teams throughout the design and construction documentation process, incorporating revisions and updates as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; associate’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Autodesk Revit and relevant BIM/CAD tools used for electrical engineering design and building systems applications.
  • Experience with electrical drafting, construction documentation, and shop drawings.
  • Ability to develop electrical plans, sections, schedules, and details from engineering markups, redlines, and design direction.
  • Experience with BIM model coordination, clash detection, and identification of interferences between building systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical engineering drawings and technical documentation and apply engineering direction to assigned modeling and drafting tasks.
  • Ability to work independently, manage assigned deliverables, and collaborate effectively with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or other technically complex building projects.
  • Experience working for a general contractor, electrical contractor, or other construction-focused organization.
