ESaaS - SAP - Technical - Basis

We are seeking an experienced and strategic SAP Datasphere Consultant to lead and support end-to-end implementations of modern data warehousing and analytics solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to harmonize data from various SAP and non-SAP sources, enabling secure, scalable, and business-ready data products. The candidate should have

• Ability to design and develop data flows in SAP Datasphere to extract data from S/4HANA

• Build views/models in SAP Datasphere to be published to Data Platform

• Support report development in SAC on top of the views designed in SAP Datasphere

• Experience in Supporting SAP Extensibility Explorer through SAP Business Technology Platform

• Experience in Supporting SAP ABAP development tasks with customizations to CDS views, Fiori

  apps, support and maintain O data services and API services

• Requires minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in SAP BTP services such as CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Workflow, Business Rules, Integration Suite, and Identity Authentication.

• Develop and extend S/4HANA Cloud applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS views, OData services, and in-app extensibility.

• Design and implement side-by-side extensions and custom business applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry, Kyma runtime, CAP).

• Integrate SAP S/4HANA Cloud  with SAP Datasphere and external systems using APIs, SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), and event-driven architecture.

• Strong expertise in ABAP RAP, CDS views, Fiori/UI5, OData, and API Management.

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services such as CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Workflow, Business Rules, Integration Suite, and Identity Authentication.

• Proficiency in SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) for cloud-based development and lifecycle management.

• Experience in SAP HANA database modeling (calculation views, data modeling, SQL scripting, and performance optimization).

• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Ensure performance, security, and compliance standards for cloud developments.

• Should have hands on experience in Integrations with third party applications & non-SAP systems. 

• The candidate should have working experience in UI5, Fiori, Workflow, ADOBE / smart forms. 

• The candidate must have experience in preparation of Technical specifications. 

• Should have good communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling & Architecture

• Design, build, and maintain semantic data models, analytical datasets, and business layers in SAP Datasphere. Architect Spaces, configure Data Builders (Graphical and SQL views), and build transformation and replication flows. Set up BW Bridge features to migrate legacy models (SAP BW/4HANA and BW/ECC) into the modern Datasphere architecture

Data Integration & Federation

• Connect and integrate data from various SAP (S/4HANA, ECC) and non-SAP sources via batch extraction and real-time replication. Configure data provisioning agents, remote tables, and implement delta handling for optimal synchronization.

Analytics & Consumption

• Collaborate closely with the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) team to develop stories, dashboards, and planning models. Support end-to-end analytical product delivery, ensuring data is formatted correctly for business consumption

Data Governance & Performance

• Implement Data Access Control and maintain data governance, security policies, and privacy standards.

• Perform performance tuning, monitor data integration jobs, and optimize query responses across the data pipeline

System Administration: Manage Spaces, task chains, and security access controls within the tenant

• Analytics Consumption: Act as a bridge between the data foundation and reporting layers, frequently utilizing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Knowledge of agile methodologies and understanding of Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects

• Basics of business domain to understand the business requirements

• Analytical abilities, strong technical skills and good communication skills

• Good understanding of the technology, domain and Awareness of latest technologies and trends

• Ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of software quality assurance principles, SOLID design principles and modelling methods

• Excellent problem solving, analytical and debugging skills
