About the Role:
Cecilia Holistic & Wellness Center in Northern California is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Doula or Birthing Specialist to join our growing wellness team. This is a meaningful opportunity to support individuals and families through one of life's most transformative experiences in a nurturing, holistic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to clients during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum
- Develop personalized birth plans in collaboration with clients and their care teams
- Offer prenatal and postpartum home or office visits to educate and support clients
- Assist with comfort measures including breathing techniques, positioning, and massage during labor
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource and advocate for clients navigating the birthing process
- Coordinate with midwives, OBs, and other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive care
- Maintain accurate client records and follow-up documentation
Requirements:
- Certified Doula credential (DONA, CAPPA, or equivalent certification preferred)
- Prior experience supporting clients through labor, birth, and postpartum recovery
- Strong knowledge of holistic birthing practices and natural wellness approaches
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a calm, reassuring demeanor
- Ability to be on-call and available for unpredictable labor schedules
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Empathetic, culturally sensitive, and client-centered approach to care
