SMARTSOURCING USA is seeking a qualified Door, Frames, Hardware & Windows Specialist to support the training and development of aspiring estimators and construction professionals.

This is a contractor role for someone who can independently deliver training, provide mentorship, and contribute subject matter expertise in door frames, architectural hardware, windows, glazing systems, and estimating practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Door, Frames, Hardware & Windows Specialist or in a related architectural openings construction trade.
  • Strong experience working on U.S.-based construction projects, with solid knowledge of U.S. standards, terminology, and workflows.
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, coaching, or a team lead capacity within the door, hardware, or window industry.
  • Strong understanding of hollow metal and wood door frames, commercial and residential doors, architectural hardware, locks, panic devices, door closers, access control hardware, aluminum storefront systems, curtain walls, windows, glazing systems, estimating principles, quantity takeoffs, and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of U.S. building codes, ADA requirements, life safety and fire-rated opening requirements, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Experience estimating commercial and/or residential door, frame, hardware, and window projects.
  • Familiarity with estimating software, digital takeoff tools, blueprint reading, architectural drawings, door and hardware schedules, window schedules, and construction specifications.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a remote contractor setup.
  • Professional, patient, and effective in guiding learners with varying skill levels.
