Job Description

Summary

Assist in the development and maintenance of Plan Documents, Schedules of Benefits (SOB), Summary of Benefits & Coverage (SBC), health plan ID cards, departmental policies, procedures, process workflows and standard operating procedures as well as other related materials such as reference guides, reports, and presentations. Create and maintain policies, procedures and document repository. Perform quality checks and process daily ID card orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Document, maintain and distribute departmental policies and procedures, process flows and standard operating procedures to ensure employees’ knowledge of departmental processes.
  • Interview operational and management personnel to ensure accuracy of documented policies, procedures, standard operating procedures and workflows.
  • Create, maintain and distribute Plan Documents, SOB, SBC, Amendments and ID cards for health plans.
  • Recommend options to ensure workflow effectiveness and efficiency as well as compliance of policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, and health plan documents.
  • Assist in the publication of policies, procedures, standard operation procedures and health plan documents and maintain the electronic distribution to users throughout the department and organization.
  • Review, perform quality checks and process daily ID card orders

Education and/or Experience

BS/BA and 1+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer Skills

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office / Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Excel.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

None required.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Work Location

This position works on-site at the Tempe, Arizona location or other company location (or from a remote location with management approval based on business requirements). Must provide adequate support to internal clients; be available for regular interactions and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors; as well as be available to facilitate effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders.

Working Hours

This is a full-time non-exempt position requiring one to be able to work overtime from time to time to get the job done. Therefore, one must have the ability to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. This may be changed at any time to meet the needs of the business. The typical working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Travel

This position requires no travel; however, attendance may be required at various local conferences and meetings.
