Key Responsibilities
As a Document Controller, you will:
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve document control systems and procedures.
- Manage the full lifecycle of project documentation, including creation, review, distribution, storage, retrieval, and archiving.
- Create and maintain document templates, registers, and filing structures.
- Ensure proper document numbering, version control, and revision tracking.
- Monitor document workflows and ensure timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of document revisions, approvals, and historical changes.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Organize and manage both electronic and hard-copy records.
- Ensure the secure archiving and preservation of project records and historical documents.
- Support project teams by facilitating access to accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the office when required, including logistics coordination and follow-up of IT-related requests.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a Document Controller, preferably within an engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructure, or project-based environment.
- Experience working with document management systems and electronic document control platforms.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in document management software and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good understanding of document control processes, standards, and best practices.
