Provide subject matter expertise support to the sales and marketing teams, providing a bridge between commercial and scientific teams for diverse sponsor- driven preclinical oncology discovery programs and internal research and development efforts. Translation of data produced by internal research and development and collaborative partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an oncology disease area leader and/ or cancer biology subject matter expert providing advisory role with the sponsors, across key therapeutic modalities like small molecules, Biologics, radioligands, cell therapy etc.
- Engage clients directly and in association with sales teams, in acquiring new clients and business opportunities to drive growth and profitability.
- Innovate and drive scientific and process strategy for local preclinical sites and/or global sites in partnership with Discovery preclinical services leaders.
- Enforce scientific rigor and high quality consultation
- Assist with Strategic planning and leading innovative capability initiatives to expand scientific capabilities and offerings, including tumor models (e.g. CDX, PDX, tumor resistance, orthotopic), in vitro assays, multimodal Imaging and other relevant techniques.
- Represent Perceptive at scientific meetings and support sales and marketing teams; Externalize science and innovation by authoring posters and publications.
Functional Competencies (Technical knowledge/Skills)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous commercial experience beneficial but not an absolute requirement
- Deep and/ or broad experience applying imaging to the study of oncology disease area or cancer biology
- Experience with relevant in vitro/ ex vivo/ in vivo methodologies including Flow cytometry, Cell-based/ Biochemical assays, Multimodal Imaging, Tumor modeling, Radioligand binding, Autoradiography, and Immunohistochemistry
- Expertise in one or more modalities like small molecules, mAbs, ADCs, bi-specifics, peptides, RNAi etc.
- Expertise in the design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of pharmacology, Dosimetry, and/or efficacy studies in rodent models
- A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning.
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
- Ability to coach others to succeed in enhancing individual and professional development. Sharing knowledge, skills, and expertise with others.
- Builds and maintains an in-depth knowledge of technology within the oncology disease area and how it affects customers adopting our products.
Experience, Education, and Certifications
- Education: Ph.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience as a subject matter expert in the discipline of Oncology/ Radioligand therapies/ Imaging in Oncology, Pharmacology, Cancer Biology, Molecular/ Cellular biology, Radiochemistry, or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in research, CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience in commercial, customer facing roles (marketing, sales, previous CRO experience, conference attendance, scientific communication) would be considered advantageous
- Other: Experience in use of desktop applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases) and network navigation required.
- Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders.
- CRM experience advantageous
- English: Fluent.
This role is remote. [Candidates located in the following states (MA) OR the US East Coast Time Zone) are preferred. The annual base salary range for this role is $110,000-$150,000]. This range represents the anticipated initial annual salary and will vary depending on several factors including the candidate’s experience and skills as well as market rate adjustment.
