JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Vice President, National Accounts, the Director, National Accounts is responsible for driving distribution, programming, and volume/margin growth of the Mexcor portfolio in the company’s largest customers. The position involves deepening long-term relationships with existing partners as well as building new relationships from scratch. The ultimate objective is to help our retail partners grow their category while capturing a disproportionate share of that growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver volume and margin goals for assigned accounts by helping the retailer grow their spirits and wine categories with Mexcor national brands and private labels
  • Foster relationships with assigned chain accounts by adding value through Joint Business Planning
  • Create and utilize channel-specific strategies, standards, selling tools, and processes that lead to insights and solution-based selling that ultimately delivers against assigned KPIs
  • Bring Mexcor brands to life at retail by activating the right brands in the right outlets, promoted during the right occasion windows with relevant trade and consumer marketing
  • Lead by example through best practice sharing so individual successes become repeatable and scalable selling tools for peers
  • Build and own a toolkit to track and measure results using Encompass, VIP iDig, Nielsen, etc…
  • Execute retail wiring both vertically and horizontally to deepen relationships and maximize results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment, overcome hurdles, and drive business objectives. This will include heavy NBD work to bring PL/CL solutions to life.
  • Maintain fiscal discipline by working with Regional Directors on state-level pricing prior to strategic account presentations and all the way through execution compliance
  • This includes heavy new business development work alongside our front-line sales team as well as our supply chain and marketing functions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hours
  • May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years industry experience calling on chain customers at the headquarter level
  • Spirits Beverage Supplier experience a bonus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time nationally to meet with existing and potential customers.
  • Proficient and professional use of systems to perform duties and responsibilities, including the ability to build prioritized and streamlined customer presentations and product proposals.
  • Must submit and maintain valid auto insurance within three (3) days of hire and before each renewal, with minimum coverage of $100,000 bodily injury, $300,000 liability, and $50,000 property damage.
  • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle report (MVR), background and drug screenings for hire and randomly throughout employment.
