About the Role

We’re hiring a Director, Finance & Business Intelligence to lead the BI and financial analytics function that powers executive and operational decision-making across Nscale’s infrastructure business.

This role will own the dashboards, models, reporting systems, and data governance needed to give leaders a trusted view of performance across financial planning, operational delivery, capacity investment, vendor performance, and accounting operations. You’ll work closely with Finance, Engineering, Commercial, Strategic Project Management, Vendor Management, and operational platform owners to ensure reporting is accurate, actionable, and aligned to business priorities.

This is a US-based role.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Own BI infrastructure strategy, including dashboard architecture, reporting systems, data pipelines, data governance, and KPI frameworks.
  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking Time-to-Power, vendor SLA performance, CapEx versus budget, program delivery health, and other executive-level operational and financial metrics.
  • Develop financial models for capacity planning, new programme investment cases, cost optimisation, and site investment decisions.
  • Lead FP&A operations, including annual budget development, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and executive reporting.
  • Partner with Engineering and Commercial teams to translate operational, commercial, and capacity data into clear financial insight.
  • Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accruals, receipting, period-close activities, and vendor payment workflows are accurate and completed on time.
  • Own reporting configuration, dashboard buildouts, data maintenance, and KPI frameworks across operational platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow, Sunbird DCIM, Linear, Procore, Salesforce, or equivalent systems.
  • Coordinate closely with Vendor Management to ensure platform contracts, SLAs, data access, integrations, and reporting requirements support the needs of the Finance BI function.
  • Manage and develop senior team members across analytics, reporting, accounting, and financial operations.

About You

  • 8+ years of experience across business intelligence, analytics, FP&A, financial systems, or a closely related field.
  • Experience operating in infrastructure, datacenter, cloud, AI infrastructure, capital-intensive, or complex operational environments.
  • Deep expertise with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent tools, with strong data modelling and financial modelling capability.
  • Proven ability to build, govern, and scale a BI or financial analytics function from the ground up.
  • Experience configuring or maintaining operational platforms for reporting and data output purposes, including Jira, ServiceNow, Sunbird DCIM, Linear, Procore, Salesforce, or similar systems.
  • Strong FP&A capability, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, executive reporting, and investment case modelling.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear executive narratives and practical business recommendations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing senior individual contributors or managers and creating clarity across cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organised, commercially minded, and comfortable operating with urgency in a fast-moving scale-up environment.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent advanced qualification.
  • Experience with datacenter delivery, capacity planning, infrastructure investment, vendor SLA reporting, or operational finance for large-scale technical environments.
  • Experience partnering with vendor management, systems integration, or platform ownership teams on reporting and data requirements.
