We are seeking a high-caliber Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) to serve as a cornerstone of our clinical operations. This is a pivotal role within a high-growth, virtual-first health technology startup.
The ideal candidate will combine advanced clinical expertise in metabolic health with the operational agility required to build and refine scalable care protocols. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient outcomes while contributing to the strategic architecture of our clinical delivery model.
Advanced Clinical Consultation: Deliver evidence-based, virtual nutritional therapy and diabetes self-management education (DSMES) to a diverse patient population (Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, and more across various demographics and social determinants of health)
Protocol Development: Design, implement, and iterate on clinical workflows and standardized care protocols to ensure high-quality, reproducible patient outcomes during rapid organizational scaling.
Data-Driven Care: Utilize remote patient monitoring (RPM) tools and analytics to provide proactive, precision-based interventions.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a clinical subject matter expert for our Product and Engineering teams, ensuring our platform’s evolution aligns with gold-standard clinical guidelines.
Patient Advocacy & Retention: Employ advanced motivational interviewing and behavioral change frameworks to foster long-term patient engagement and adherence in a remote setting.
Licensure: Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) status; CDCES certification strongly preferred.
Experience: 4+ years of clinical experience, with a proven track record in chronic disease management or endocrinology.
Environment: Prior experience in telehealth or a venture-backed startup is highly advantageous.
Technical Proficiency: High aptitude for EHR management, data visualization tools, and collaborative software (e.g., Slack, G-Suite).
Communication: Sophisticated verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex clinical data into digestible patient insights.
Operational Excellence: You possess a natural inclination toward process improvement and can thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Clinical Sophistication: You maintain a rigorous commitment to ADA and ADCES standards while remaining adaptable to the nuances of virtual care delivery.
Cultural Competence: You are skilled in navigating the social determinants of health (SDoH) and tailoring care plans for a wide range of patient demographics.
Proactive Problem-Solving: Rather than identifying roadblocks, you present data-backed solutions that align with both clinical integrity and business objectives.
