GIRO is globally recognized for the quality and robustness of its optimization algorithms.
As part of the Algorithms team, you will play a key role in the design, evolution, and industrialization of complex software solutions that have a direct impact on the daily lives of millions of public transit users around the world.
Your main responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance advanced optimization algorithms integrated into a wide range of large-scale software products
Actively contribute to software and algorithmic architecture decisions
Translate complex operational problems into robust and high-performance mathematical models
Ensure code quality through documentation, testing, and code reviews
Serve as a technical reference for development and project teams using the Algorithms team’s features
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s practices, tools, and standards
Depending on interest, mentor and provide technical support to more junior developers
Master’s degree or PhD in operations research or applied mathematics
5 to 10 years of relevant experience in software development
Excellent command of the C++ programming language
Strong experience with Windows environments and relational databases
Very strong knowledge of operations research, including LP/MILP modeling and solving, column generation, and metaheuristics
Ability to analyze complex problems and propose pragmatic, high-performance solutions
Ability to communicate effectively in French, both orally and in writing
