AI Summary

The Delivery Manager owns the end-to-end delivery function, ensuring all customer projects are shipped on time, within scope, and at high quality. This includes leading the Project Management team, defining delivery KPIs, and managing cross-functional execution between Creative and Engineering leads.

The Role

The Delivery Manager is a core leadership position within BRIGHTSCOUT's Delivery function. You own the end-to-end delivery function: ensuring every customer project ships on time, within scope, and at the quality standard the agency is known for.

This is not a pure PM role. It sits at the intersection of delivery governance, people leadership, and cross-functional execution. You will lead and grow the Project Management team, hold the bar on operational standards, and be the person who brings clarity when things get complex.

Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership

  • Own the Delivery function and set the standard for quality, consistency, and customer experience across all accounts.
  • Maintain hands-on, real-time visibility on the health of every active project: timeline, scope, budget, and risk. Keeping an eye on every project is non-negotiable.
  • Define and own delivery KPIs, and hold the team accountable to them.
  • Own and continuously improve the delivery tooling and systems: project management tools, project wikis, roadmapping, and status reporting.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the Project Management team through 1:1s, performance reviews, and growth planning.
  • Own PM onboarding and keep delivery rituals and alignment routines consistent across the team.
  • Hold PMs to structured, proactive communication with customers and internal teams.
  • Act as the default coverage when a PM is out, stepping in to keep their projects moving.

Delivery Excellence

  • Co-own the BRIGHTSCOUT Delivery Playbook with the discipline leads and keep it current. Operations governs the library it lives in.
  • Audit delivery practices regularly across engagements.
  • Define and enforce change-control protocols and SOW guardrails.
  • Partner with Operations and the production leads (Creative and Engineering) on scope validation, feasibility, and team composition before kickoff, so every project starts correctly scoped and resourced.
  • Assess the delivery impact of any in-flight scope or change request together with the Creative and Engineering leads, and re-plan timeline, scope, and team before the change is committed.
  • Act as the escalation point for delivery-level issues raised by PMs, and drive risk mitigation, partnering with the Customer Experience Manager on account-level escalations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in delivery, project management, or cross-functional leadership within digital, creative, or product-driven environments.
  • Proven track record leading PM teams and managing complex, multi-account customer portfolios.
  • Strong command of delivery methodologies: Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, among others.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Comfortable operating within a transitional structure and building from the ground up.
  • High operational discipline, strong emotional intelligence, and sound decision-making under pressure.
  • Strong availability and responsiveness during core agency hours, with reliable overlap across the team's working day.
