Delivery manager (Delivery Team)
Role Statement:
A delivery manager is accountable for the delivery of change to the required standard, timelines and scope agreed. The focus is on ensuring deliverables meet stakeholder requirements and timescales while remaining flexible enough to adapt to change and manage risk effectively.
Delivery managers:
· Build and maintain motivated teams, ensuring iterative plans are in place
· Drive teams to delivery their part of the wider plan
· Demonstrate excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills
· Apply strong domain experience (Fuel / Telematics / Insurance / Telecoms)
· Build and manage project plans through the full project lifecycle
· Focus on delivery from personal, team, programme, department and business perspectives
· Challenge the status quo and continuously strive for improvement
· Protect the team and ensure collaboration, communication, and focus on priorities
· Coach team members and others, facilitate continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools and techniques
· Proactively manage dependencies, overcome obstacles and maximise value within constraints
· Think laterally to ensure solutions align with wider business objectives
· Manage risks, budgets and people effectively
· Manage the team health and ensure they are operating at an optimum level
· Solve problems and escalate when needed
· Ensure adherence to governance and operating requirements
Key Role Accountabilities:
· Lead development and implementation efforts of autonomous teams towards their delivery goals and high performance
· Pro-actively drive the deliverable from start to finish and maintain accountability for delivery
· Manage individuals and projects through the lifecycle
· Create transparency and predictability using appropriate tools and metrics to report progress
· Project manages work through all stages of the lifecycle.
· Owning the delivery plan for multiple teams by working with Product Managers and Product Owners to understand the delivery roadmap and delivery scheduling
· Leading and coaching a multi-disciplinary team of developers, BA and other technical team members, setting objectives based on suitable Personal Development Plans.
· Mentor and coach your direct reports and others in the team, working closely with the communities of practice, to develop them into top performing individuals who excel at what they do
· Continuously assess your team's approach and work with the Agile Coach to adapt planning tools, Agile methods and communication to ensure a successful and sustainable delivery
· Build long term capability, through nurturing and promoting self-organisation, leading to an increasing transparency and trust through autonomy, mastery and purpose
· Share your knowledge with other Delivery Managers to enable them to reflect, learn and then apply this learning within their teams
· Working with the Agile Coach to promote Agile best practice and processes across your teams

· Challenging the status quo and never settling for average or just good enough
· Encouraging teams to improve through shared learning experiences and expanding their knowledge by being involved in community activities
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Strong background with the Intapp Product Set
· Experience of working in the Legal domain
· Ability to motivate and drive delivery teams while managing multiple concurrent deliveries
· Demonstrable expertise and experience of working and leading in an Agile environment
· Significant client-facing experience with a track record of successful delivery
· Ability to adjust to process and priorities pragmatically
· Experience working with central backlogs and clear prioritisation.
· Experience delivering in software engineering and CI/CD environments
· Experience defining and working within the Software development lifecycle and Product Development Lifecycle.
· Experience with different teams (feature-driven, maintenance, DevOps and infrastructure)
· Successfully run agile software projects of varying size and complexity
· Knowledgeable about different Agile methodologies, and their relevance to different situations and able to influence the teams in their adoption of said methodology.
· Experience leading multi-disciplinary agile teams including Engineers, Testers & Analysts through coaching, mentoring, collaboration and team building towards a delivery focus
· Experience working closely with customers to understand, negotiate and adapt to priority changes
· Experience working across different disciplines
· Skilled in project-related problem solving within complex business environments
· Abreast of software development processes
· Delivery of key team metrics while ensuring alignment, consistency and comparability of throughput
· Influence stakeholders to ensure alignment
· Experience in backlog creation, alignment and delivery
· Experience in mobilizing departments and wider business teams as well as development teams
· Able to coach individuals on a 121 basis
· Evangelize the benefits of Agile practices within the business
· Proficient report writing and excel skills
· Experience in working with teams and achieving estimates for work
· Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with experience of working both independently and in a team orientated, collaborative environment
