Job Description

We build a complex software product with a globally distributed team that works autonomously across many time zones. We are looking for a Delivery Lead to be the person who makes our delivery reliable: who keeps work moving, keeps our cadence healthy, and keeps our commitments and our reality connected.

This is a role for someone who loves a process that runs well and takes real satisfaction in things shipping on time and to standard. You will not own the product roadmap or make product decisions; our Product Owners own their epics end-to-end, and product direction sits with our leadership. Your job is to run the delivery process that supports them: keeping the cadence tight, protecting our fixed delivery appetites, clearing blockers, and keeping sprint teams and a portfolio of epics moving in a predictable rhythm. If you are energized by bringing order to a fast, autonomous environment, this role is for you.

 What you'll own:

  • A healthy delivery cadence. You will run the rhythm that keeps work flowing across the portfolio: making sure the right conversations happen at the right time, decisions have a clear place to land, and nothing stalls waiting for a step that never got scheduled.
  • Protecting our delivery appetites. We run a fixed-appetite model: each epic gets a set team and a fixed time box, and scope flexes to fit. You will protect that time box and help facilitate scope decisions
  • Keeping the roadmap live and visible. You will keep the roadmap current and transparent to everyone, and drive the team's cadence against it so what we planned and what we are doing stay connected. You will facilitate the planning sessions, not set the priorities.
  • Removing blockers and coordinating across teams. You will surface dependencies early, clear obstacles, and coordinate across our sprint teams so work does not stall at the seams.
  • Holding the standard. You will keep the department to its cadence and process, name when things slip, and stay on it until they are resolved. This is accountability to the standard, done with a distributed, autonomous team, without being heavy-handed.

What this role is not:

So expectations are clear from the start:

  • You are not a product manager or roadmap owner. Product direction and prioritization sit with our leadership.
  • You are not a domain expert, and you will not take over epic ownership. Deep product knowledge and epic ownership sit with our Product Owners and UX team; you support how the work gets delivered, not what it should be.
  • You do not decide how work is technically built. That is Engineering's, with the assigned Product Owner and UX lead. Your focus is when and in what sequence work flows, not how it is built.
  • You are not a full-time scrum master running every ceremony. When the setup is right, our teams run their own process; you build and maintain the conditions that make that possible.

What we're looking for:

The one non-negotiable: you keep things moving and you follow through. You can hold a distributed, autonomous team to a cadence and a commitment, have the direct conversation when something slips, and see it resolved, all without being heavy-handed. On a team like ours, this is the skill that matters most. If you love process but avoid the hard conversation, this is not the right role for you.

Beyond that, you likely have:

  • Genuine enthusiasm for process and operational rhythm, and satisfaction in things running on time and to standard.
  • Excellent organization and calm across many moving parts and competing threads.
  • Clear, proactive communication across time zones and cultures, and comfort working asynchronously with an autonomous team.
  • The judgment to hold a standard firmly without being heavy-handed, and to enable a team rather than rescue it.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity coordinating between software Product and Engineering functions.
  • Experience in a fully remote, globally distributed organization.
  • Experience working in teams that release software on a predictable schedule.
  • Deep product management skill is not required. This role is expected to grow product capability over time, with active coaching and support from the Product Manager. We are hiring for delivery discipline and follow-through first.

How you'll know you're succeeding:

  • Work flows on a consistent, predictable cadence, with blockers cleared early.
  • Cycles ship within their fixed appetites, with scope decisions made in good time.
  • The roadmap is current, trusted, and delivered against.
  • All sprint teams stay aligned and moving, and the wider team spends its time building rather than untangling.
