JOB DESCRIPTION:

DAYSHIFT, REMOTE
Senior / Mid Level Design Engineer

• Company background: AU Building & Construction
  
• General tasks: Assisting senior engineers in the design and analysis of civil and structural Transmission line projects, including substation, infrastructure, and other facilities
  
• Working hours: (Permanent AU Dayshift) 9am-5pm Sydney
  
• Target start date: ASAP
  
• VA Rate : $11AUD per hour (Negotiable)

As an engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's engineering projects, contributing to the delivery of high-quality solutions for our diverse range of clients. Work on Australian engineering projects and get strong exposure to transmission & energy sector

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting senior engineers in the design and analysis of civil and structural Transmission line projects, including substation, infrastructure, and other facilities
  

• Conducting research, data analysis, and technical calculations to support the development of engineering solutions
  

• Preparing engineering reports and other documentation to communicate project progress and findings
  

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects
  

• Participating in site visits and inspections to gain hands-on experience
  

• Continuously learning and expanding your knowledge of engineering principles and industry best practices
  

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• Should have at least 5 years of experience for a similar role since this is a senior role
  

• Experience in Transmission line projects, Project management, and construction
  

• Must have Site and administration management, particularly for high-voltage transmission
  

• Project administration
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  

• Proficiency in the use of MS Office, preferably knowledge of engineering software, such as CAD, FEA, and analysis tools
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
  

• A passion for the engineering industry and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  

• Work alongside senior engineers on live energy and transmission projects.
  

• Gain exposure to design, testing, and project management activities.
  

• Assist in preparing technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
  

• Learn industry standards, project processes, and client interaction.
  

• Contribute fresh ideas and support innovation in engineering solutions.
  

Nice-to-Have (High Value - Preferred but not required)
• Experience with:
- Structural analysis tools (STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000)
- Transmission line software, FEA tools
• Understanding of:
- Load calculations
- Wind loads / structural behavior
