Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to design and develop data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges and support informed decision-making. The role combines statistical analysis, machine learning, programming and business understanding to transform data into meaningful insights and scalable analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends and actionable insights
• Design, develop and evaluate statistical and machine learning models.
• Perform data exploration, cleaning, wrangling, normalization and feature engineering
• Develop predictive and analytical solutions that address business requirements
• Work with Python and SQL/PostgreSQL to manipulate, analyze and model data. These technologies also appear in the recent internal Data Scientist profile
• Create reports, visualizations and dashboards to communicate analytical findings effectively
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers and other technical teams to translate business challenges into data science solutions
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to the automation and improvement of analytics processes and solutions
• Ensure appropriate quality, reliability and documentation of analytical work

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in data science, advanced analytics or statistical modeling
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Strong knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL and experience working with structured datasets
• Good understanding of statistics, probability and machine learning techniques
• Experience with data analysis, data wrangling, data modeling and data visualization
• Experience developing and evaluating predictive or machine learning models
• Familiarity with common Python data science and machine learning libraries
• Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik is valuable and is also reflected in the internal profile
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and translate analytical findings into business recommendations. This combination of technical capability and business communication is also consistently reflected in current external Data Scientist role profiles
• Good English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and data processing technologies.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs or NLP, depending on the project scope.
• Experience taking analytical or machine learning solutions beyond experimentation into production environments.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.
